Super Fan Tattoos ‘DRAKE’ on Forehead: He’s Pissed at Tatt Man

*A strange, hardcore fan had Drake’s name tattooed on her forehead. and the rapper is at a loss of words. he hardly knows what to think.

“I want to meet her and understand what happened,” a clearly uncomfortable Drake told Los Angeles’ Power 106 personality Mando Fresko. “That’s cool, though, I feel you 100%, that to me is absolutely incredible.”

The man behind the art is L.a.’s Will Rise tattoo artist Kevin Campbell.

Drake says he’s not happy with him.

“The guy who tatted is a f—ing –shole though, I will tell you that,” he said in the radio interview. “I don’t f— with that guy. F— you to that tat artist by the way. and you should lose your job and should never do tattoos again and I don’t f— with you. and if I ever see you, I’m a f— you up.”

Campbell doesn’t see the problem. he explained that he triple checked with the woman about what she wanted. he even lost sleep over it.

In an interview with Vibe.com, the artists said:

“I lost a little sleep over it that first night, wondering if I wanted to be known as the a–hole who tattooed ‘DRAKE’ on some crackhead’s forehead,” Campbell told the website. “in the end, she paid me to do this to her, which really means she did this to herself.”

Unions, law and taking on Big Tobacco

Nicola Roxon brings worker values to her new role. Photo: Orlando Chiodo

NICOLA Roxon’s appointment as attorney-general marks a significant achievement in the advance of women. That it took 110 years of Federation says plenty about the one-time patriarchal nature of national politics, and its crumbling under Julia Gillard.

”I look forward to the time my daughter, who’s six, will live in a country where there won’t be many things that will be the ‘first’ that a woman will be,” Roxon reflected yesterday.

”There will have been female prime ministers, there will have been female ministers in all areas. I am proud to be the first woman attorney-general and I hope it will be yet another sign to the girls of Australia that there is any job that is open to them – if they are passionate and committed and determined to do it, they can. Australia is a country that allows women to fulfil their potential.”

Roxon has set about fulfilling her potential with an unorthodox mix of the law, the union movement and since 1998, hard-working Labor MP and minister.

Sydney-born but Melbourne-raised, she is one of three sisters brought up by her mother Lesley, after their father Jack died when she was 10. her father was a one-time smoker, and his death from oesophageal cancer has had a profound impact as she has taken on Big Tobacco and pushed ahead with plain-packaging of cigarettes.

Gillard yesterday singled out this fight as one Roxon would continue as attorney-general.

Lesley Roxon worked part time as a pharmacist to support the family and money was tight. Roxon and her older sister won scholarships to Methodist Ladies’ College in Kew.

She excelled, and at Melbourne University won the Supreme Court prize for the top law student.

In 1992, Roxon went to work as an associate to Mary Gaudron, the first woman appointed to the High Court. in an interview four years ago with the Age, Gaudron recalled Roxon turning up for the job interview wearing Doc Martens shoes. she knewRoxon’s aunt Lillian, who was part of the Sydney Push, the anti-establishment group that included Germaine Greer and Robert Hughes. Gaudron saw a ”fair bit of Lillian in Nicola”.

After two years with Gaudron, Roxon became an organiser with the National Union of Workers, that produced Simon Crean and bill Shorten (she was once Shorten’s partner). she was exposed to the bread-and-butter concerns of factory workers as they attempted to carve out a living and support families.

Roxon returned to the law with Labor firm Maurice Blackburn during the landmark waterfront dispute, fighting against injunctions aimed at preventing pickets in the battle between the Maritime Union of Australia and Patrick Stevedores.

Politics was the next logical step, and she won preselection in the 1998 election for the western suburbs seat of Gellibrand, which shares a boundary with Julia Gillard’s seat of Lalor.

”What she brings is a very strong focus on access to justice and the legal system working for the benefit of all people, but particularly working people,” said lawyer John Cain, who worked with Roxon at Maurice Blackburn in the mid-1990s.

”Her connections with the western suburbs and the union movement … I don’t think they’re ever far from her considerations. it will be a real asset to have those issues and that type of person in the attorney’s role.”

Maiden speeches can sometimes be insightful, and in Roxon’s case, she provided a glimpse of the personal philosophy that shapes her.

She railed against the then Howard government curbing the powers of the then-Industrial Relations Commission, and underfunding of the Human Rights and Equal Opportunity Commission and legal aid.

Reflecting on the 26 years her Gellibrand predecessor Ralph Willis had spent in Parliament, she hoped that in 26 years’ time, Australia had a legal system that was cheap, accessible and protected people. At the halfway point, she now has the opportunity to act on that ambition.

Drake Has Mixed Feelings About Woman With 'Drake' Face Tattoo

share

Watch now as Drake struggles to come up with the right words to describe how he feels about a young lady who has his name tattooed on her forehead in really big capital letters. Note to anyone who thinks the Take Care rapper is a softy: he makes threats!

The topic came up during an interview with L.A. radio host Mando Fesko (via MTV), who watched as Drake went from curious to shocked to angry to sympathetic to disgusted.

“I want to meet her and understand why… what happened,” he said. “That’s cool, though, I feel you, 100 percent. that, to me, is absolutely incredible… the guy who tatted it is a fucking asshole, though I will tell you that, I don’t fuck with that guy, fuck you to that tat artist, by the way, because you’re an asshole, for real, and you should lose your job, and you should never do tattoos again, I don’t fuck with you and if I see you I will fuck you up. but real shit, though, I want to talk to this girl and understand it all, you know? it was love. I mean, it’s crazy, it’s surreal, I don’t even want to look at it anymore.” Uh, neither do we.

Two weeks ago when this all went down, Vice spoke with the tattoo artist in question, Kevin Campbell from Los Angeles’ Will Rise, who said he didn’t know who Drake was when he did the work (he then called him a “goofnugget R&B dude”). “My whole deal with people wanting completely outrageous and potentially life ruining tattoos is this: I’ll ask them three times if they really think that it’s a good idea, I tell them what the potential consequences of getting a tattoo on their face might be, and after that, the bad decision is on them,” he said. “I guess I feel bad that this dumbass got the name of the softest motherfucker in hip-hop tattooed on her forehead. but what makes that any less valid of a tattoo to her?”

Also notable: Campbell said the tattoo isn’t even done yet — the young lady in question only had enough money for the outline during her first visit to his shop.

Don’t forget to check out where Take Care landed on SPIN’s 20 best R&B Albums of 2011.

Attorney General Robert McClelland does a runner and leaves a poisoned chalice for Nicola Roxon.

Robert McClelland who could be fairly and generously described as the greatest failure and most corrupt Attorney General Australia has ever seen is no more. As of the 12th of December 2011, with the Julia Gillard cabinet reshuffle, he has passed on a poisoned chalice to Nicola Roxon who becomes Australia’s first female Attorney General.

McClelland could have achieved so much but has achieved so little. The little he has done has been nothing more than smoke and mirrors and he has entrenched the power of the lawyers and judges while continuing to corrupt the judiciary with Labor Party cronies.

McClelland was Attorney General for 4 years since the end of 2007 and I am still to read where anyone in the government has said what a great job he did and then listed all of his achievements. this will not happen because if they were to list his achievements over the four years all it would do is magnify the fact that he achieved bugger all.

It has been reported that he wanted to stay on as Attorney General. If this was true he would still be Attorney General make no mistake about that. there were reports after the 2010 election that he wanted out as Attorney General, but obviously no one wanted the hot seat. Other reports say the Prime Minister Julia Gillard was trying to get rid of him which is probably true as he is a major liability, but McClelland was in a position to stay Attorney General if he wanted as he has too much dirt in Gillard.

Moving forward more and more questions were going to be asked of McClelland and his failings as Attorney General. The sooner he got out the better for him and the government.

His reward for his criminal conduct as Attorney General is that he is still in cabinet with the extra pay and benefits that come with it. his new position is Minister for Emergency Management (created to keep McClelland in cabinet and keep him happy)Minister for Housing, Minister for Homelessness and Vice-President of the Executive Council.

If there is a national emergency McClelland is one of the last people you would want managing it. Anyone who has ever seen his press conferences where he lasts 5 minutes and on a good day 10 minutes before he does a runner when the questions get too hard would know what I mean. He avoided press conferences like the plague. Too many hard questions with no justifiable answers.

Some but not all of McClelland failings are:

1. Failed to reform the judiciary. It is still as corrupt as ever. In 2009 there was a Senate Enquiry that covered such things as the judicial appointment process and judicial complaints process and access to justice. nothing has been done.

2. Driven up the costs for justice with the introduction of the Civil Dispute Resolution Act 2011 (click here to read the press release) which basically means mandatory mediation with a registrar in the Federal Court of Australia and the Federal Magistrates Court before your case can go before a judge. Richard Ackland summarised it well in an article in the SMH titled “Mediation more pork for lawyers” (Click here to read the full article) and what if the registrar is corrupt? Hardly a reform.

3. Failed to close down the Federal Magistrates Court of Australia although this was recommended in an in-depth report. (Click here to read) and then said they would keep it open as a Military Court which would be operating by the end of this year which has failed to happen. (Click here to read) It must be noted that the Federal Magistrates court is run by one of Australia’s biggest criminals Chief Federal Magistrate John Pascoe. (Click here to read my previous post on Pascoe’s handiwork).

4. Committed a criminal offence in support of Julia Gillard in making a false complaint to police about WikiLeaks and Julian Assange. (Click here to read previous post)

5. Failed to reform the legal profession. Yes, there is a new National Legal Services Board and National Legal Services Commissioner coming into effect but only four states,  New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and the Northern Territory which makes it nothing more than a joke. and the devil is always in the details so another toothless tiger and more smoke and mirrors from McClelland. And based on how states have previously run things it is hard to see that it will make much difference. Things will just be covered up at a federal level instead of a state level. The Attorney General’s Department are well-trained in cover-ups, just ask McClelland.

6. In writing this site and my previous site Crimes of the Law I have heard from many people who have made complaints about judicial officers and court staff and everyone says there complaint was swept under the carpet and they were never given a detailed response. this has been standard practice under McClelland. As an example I did a post on the 24th of October 2011 titled “how the Australian Federal Police and Federal Courts collude to sweep criminal conduct of judges under the carpet. part one.” (Click here to read) I then sent an email to mr McClelland on the 25 October asking him “Can you please advise whether or not only the Chief Justice or Chief Magistrate of the federal courts can make complaints to the Federal Police in relation to alleged criminal conduct by judges and magistrates.” because this is what the Federal Police have been telling members of the public. I then followed up with a phone call to mr McClelland’s office on the 31 October and was told I would get a response in two weeks. well I am still waiting.

There is enough for a book on McClelland’s failings but I think you get the picture. McClelland thinks he can just walk away and anything and everything he did as Attorney General is forgotten. well think again mr McClelland, your failings will be documented for many years to come and history will remember you as a bad joke. and take note Mrs Roxon, Robert McClelland’s reputation will never be recovered and nor will yours if you go down the same path as him.

Yesterday when Nicola Roxon was announced as the new Attorney General there was no mention of judicial reform, legal reform or Federal Police reform etc just how she would take on the tobacco companies in the High Court. Beautiful, looks like her honeymoon period was over in two minutes.

Once again I will finish off how I finish all my posts and ask for your support. It would be greatly appreciated if you spend a minute using Twitter, Facebook and email and let others know about this post. Just click on the icons below.

And make sure you follow this site by email which is on the top right of this page and about once a week you will get an email when there is a new post/story on this site. thank you for your support.
