What is the connection between the story of Prometheus and that of Frankenstein?
Posted by Metro in Uncategorized on July 23, 2011
I have to sort of explain it for LA and I don't really get it.
Prometheus and Dr. Frankenstein both messed with stuff Man was not Meant to Know. Prometheus, because Zeus said not to give fire to man, and Dr. F. because only God was supposed to give life. and both came to sad ends. That's why the sub-title to 'Frankenstein' is 'the Modern Prometheus'.
well Frankenstein was created from body parts of dead people and everyday prometheus died by a bird eating his liver and everyday he came back to life.
so pro- and frank- both were at some point dead and came back to life. That's about all the similarities i can see.
**Whoops, wrong Franko. Listen to the person below me. i was never big on monsters. I'm wrong.**
