Yuma mourns loss of 7 Marines

YUMA, AZ – the community of Yuma is mourning the loss of seven Marines who were killed Wednesday night in a helicopter collision .
Go to the Harley Davidson store in Yuma and you feel a sense of toughness.
After all, Yuma is a military town and John Pitts knows it.
Pitts, the store manager, has a soft spot for those who serve in the armed forces.
“I feel for the families,” Pitts said, after helping a customer.
“I feel for the loss of their lives because they’re doing something that they believed in and what they signed up for…it’s just one of those unfortunate things.”
And there is a connection the Yuma native doesn’t want to hide.
“We’ve been here 47 years,” he said.
He proudly shows the tattoo on his right arm.
It honors his father’s service.
He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
In small letters, Pitts has tattooed, “trust in God, always forgive and never hold a grudge.”
Words, he said, his father taught him.
“It’s human life and that could have been my kid over there,” he said of the seven who perished in the chopper crash.
Down the street, owners of the LZ Bar & Grilled lowered flags at half staff.
“A lot of aviation history is here,” said Evelyn Malo, one of the owners.
Her husband, bill, is an Army veteran who still flies commercial helicopters at 67 years of age.
She described him as an original Boy Scout, who joined the Army at 18 and flew during a couple tours of Vietnam.
“This is heartbreaking,” Evelyn said. “You just don’t lose seven people you know in your home.”
Malo said the military is Yuma.
“Red, white and blue just runs in your veins,” she said.

Are the tattoos reminders of why he's here? Because three seems like a lot of reminders for a teenager. We know tattoos are considered fashion statements but most states don't let minors get ink without parental consent. so his parentals must be cool with it, right?

Question by Christopher: Immigration lawyers, is there any free help out there?well i am from the UK, been here 9months total, been to the usa twice before left when visas expired, this time i overstayed, got married when i was still ‘legal’ my wife was pregnant with my son an she gave birth last may, ( as i said we had already met before) i came over on a visa waiver. now she cant work as she is ill, i cant work due to status, so i need to get my situation sorted to help my wife an work, is there any non profit lawyers out there who deal with this sorta thing, i live in texas.also dont waste my time with stupid comments about immigration or that with the visa i had id have to go home, the department of homelnad have already clarrified with me that if i have an attorney there are ways to sort it out, so can anyone suggest any help for me an my family, much appreciated, god bless

What you need is to get your wife to file a spouse petition for you and you need to ask for a waiver, so you can stay while your petition is processed. In theory, anyone can do all the paperwork for themselves. In practice, it takes experience which you probably lack. there is a ton of burocracy in the immigration process. An attorney is, indeed, a big help. You can call your local bar association and ask if they can give you a referral to a pro bono immigration attorney. (Austin, for example, is 512- 472-0279 ) sometimes you’ll find an established attorney who’s willing to help for free (the “pro bono” part) but you might also find one who’ll work for a very small fee. The cite below is a sort of interfaith place in Dallas that might be able to help you wade through the forms. (I don’t think they’ll make you abandon COE; they’re sort of interfaith)
