Woman Gets Drake’s Name Tattooed on Her Forehead
Posted by Metro in Uncategorized on March 14, 2012
How responsible is a tattoo artist for the strange things that people get tattooed on various parts of their body? This was the very question that Kevin Campbell faced this week, when he helped a woman get her favorite rapper’s name tattooed on her forehead.
While the name or identity of the woman remains unknown, her pictures have been circulating the internet and have turned viral. This woman has done the unthinkable, even for die-hard fans. she apparently wanted to show off her love for Drake, the Canadian rapstar, so she got his name etched in a place that no one could miss. The photographs themselves were taken by Kevin’s manager and co workers from will Rise, the L.a. tattoo shop. a close-up shot shows that the woman has shaved off her hair and eyebrows. Kevin confirms this. He says that she came in to the shop that way, asking specifically for the tattoo to be made on her forehead. she had even picked out the font beforehand. According to Kevin, she seemed to be a little high, but pretty sure of what she wanted. but when the tattoo job was nearing completion, she seemed to have lost a bit of her enthusiasm.

He did lose a night’s sleep after making the tattoo, afraid he’d be called the a-hole who tattooed “DRAKE” on some drug addict’s forehead. But he does feel that he’s done the best he could to prevent her from going ahead with it. Kevin says he’ll ask his clients three times if they are sure they think it’s a good idea, and also tell them about the potential consequences of getting a tattoo on the face. beyond that, it’s up to the customer to take the decision. He does admit though, that he had the choice to turn her away, and didn’t take it. and for that, Kevin’s already facing a lot of criticism from other tattooers.

Well, the deed is done, and quite irreversibly at that. Apparently the woman only got the outline done, and didn’t have enough money to pay for the filling. but she’s assured the folks at will Rise that she’ll be back for more.

Drake responds to uproar over fan who tattooed his name on her forehead

“The guy who tatted is a f—ing –-shole though, I will tell you that," he said in the radio interview. "I don’t f— with that guy. F— you to that tat artist by the way. and you should lose your job and should never do tattoos again and I don’t f— with you. and if I ever see you, I’m a f— you up.”
The tattoo artist told Vice.com after the image went viral last week that he thought it was a gang tattoo and triple-checked with her to make sure it’s what she wanted.
"I lost a little sleep over it that first night, wondering if I wanted to be known as the a–hole who tattooed ‘DRAKE’ on some crackhead’s forehead," Campbell told the web site. "in the end, she paid me to do this to her, which really means she did this to herself."
The unidentified fan may have been inspired to take the drastic step by a Drake song, "Free Spirit," which includes the lyric, "Tat my name on you, so I know it’s real."

*A strange, hardcore fan had Drake’s name tattooed on her forehead. and the rapper is at a loss of words. he hardly knows what to think.
“I want to meet her and understand what happened,” a clearly uncomfortable Drake told Los Angeles’ Power 106 personality Mando Fresko. “That’s cool, though, I feel you 100%, that to me is absolutely incredible.”
The man behind the art is L.a.’s Will Rise tattoo artist Kevin Campbell.
Drake says he’s not happy with him.
“The guy who tatted is a f—ing –shole though, I will tell you that,” he said in the radio interview. “I don’t f— with that guy. F— you to that tat artist by the way. and you should lose your job and should never do tattoos again and I don’t f— with you. and if I ever see you, I’m a f— you up.”

Campbell doesn’t see the problem. he explained that he triple checked with the woman about what she wanted. he even lost sleep over it.
In an interview with Vibe.com, the artists said:
“I lost a little sleep over it that first night, wondering if I wanted to be known as the a–hole who tattooed ‘DRAKE’ on some crackhead’s forehead,” Campbell told the website. “in the end, she paid me to do this to her, which really means she did this to herself.”

Drake is heated at the tattoo artist who inked his name across a fan’s forehead.
As we previously reported, a Los Angeles woman got the artwork done by tattoo artist Kevin Campbell of Will Rise. Campbell told Vice.com he had no problem doing the work, but he felt “bad that this dumb*ss got the name of the softest motherf*cker in hip hop tattooed on her forehead.”
Drake heard about the tattoo and said he’d like to meet the woman to find out why she did it.
“I wanna meet her and find out what happened,” he told Mando Fresco of Los Angeles’ Power 106. “That’s cool though…I feel you 100%. that to me is like absolutely incredible.”
Drizzy was not so nice when speaking about Campbell though. he threatens to hurt the tat artist, possibly because he called him soft.
“The guy who tatted is a f*cking a**hole though, I will tell you that,” Drake said. “I don’t f*ck with that guy. F*ck you to that tat artist by the way. and you should lose your job and should never do tattoos again and I don’t f*ck with you. and if I ever see you, I’ma f*ck you up.”
Do you believe Drake? or does he need more people?

Watch now as Drake struggles to come up with the right words to describe how he feels about a young lady who has his name tattooed on her forehead in really big capital letters. Note to anyone who thinks the Take Care rapper is a softy: he makes threats!
The topic came up during an interview with L.A. radio host Mando Fesko (via MTV), who watched as Drake went from curious to shocked to angry to sympathetic to disgusted.
“I want to meet her and understand why… what happened,” he said. “That’s cool, though, I feel you, 100 percent. that, to me, is absolutely incredible… the guy who tatted it is a fucking asshole, though I will tell you that, I don’t fuck with that guy, fuck you to that tat artist, by the way, because you’re an asshole, for real, and you should lose your job, and you should never do tattoos again, I don’t fuck with you and if I see you I will fuck you up. but real shit, though, I want to talk to this girl and understand it all, you know? it was love. I mean, it’s crazy, it’s surreal, I don’t even want to look at it anymore.” Uh, neither do we.
Two weeks ago when this all went down, Vice spoke with the tattoo artist in question, Kevin Campbell from Los Angeles’ Will Rise, who said he didn’t know who Drake was when he did the work (he then called him a “goofnugget R&B dude”). “My whole deal with people wanting completely outrageous and potentially life ruining tattoos is this: I’ll ask them three times if they really think that it’s a good idea, I tell them what the potential consequences of getting a tattoo on their face might be, and after that, the bad decision is on them,” he said. “I guess I feel bad that this dumbass got the name of the softest motherfucker in hip-hop tattooed on her forehead. but what makes that any less valid of a tattoo to her?”
Also notable: Campbell said the tattoo isn’t even done yet — the young lady in question only had enough money for the outline during her first visit to his shop.
